Why are bees important?

Pollination:

"Pollinators are essential to the production of food, and in the United States, honey bees pollinate an estimated $15 billion of crops each year, ranging from almonds to zucchinis”

Honey & the Environment:

In the past 3 years, US bees have produced an average of $317 million dollars worth of honey, which gets distributed to homes and businesses across the country.

Bees are a vital part of several food webs because they pollinate foods eaten by other animals and birds. The pollination of bees also increase biodiversity.
